The last weekend of February every year sees Doolin remember its greatest music ambassadors the Russell brothers; Micho, Packie & Gussie. What a way to kick off our season with the brightest musicians descending on Doolin from the four corners of the world to attend workshops and perform in all the pubs and Russell Cultural Centre. The highlight of the festival is the Russell Concert which usually takes place on the Saturday of the festival in the Russell Cultural Centre.

The annual St. Patrick’s Day parade makes its way through Doolin on the saint’s national day March 17th. The parade usually starts at Doolin Pier around 1:30 pm. It makes its way down Fisher Street and through Doolin to Roadford and finishes up at the Russell Community Centre. The parade is enjoyed by locals & tourists alike; with an entertaining mix of floats ranging from school children playing trad music to topical sketches.

Doolin Surf Festival takes place in March each year and is hosted by Hotel Doolin. This 3-day festival is run by people who love the sea. Surfers of all crafts, filmmakers, artists, writers, musicians. The festival will host a number of film screenings, guest speakers, art exhibitions, workshops, competitions, bands and DJs, and the best of sustainable local food and hospitality.

The annual Doolin Folk Festival runs around the second weekend of June and hosted by Hotel Doolin . Having established itself as a firm favourite on the summer festival calendar, Doolin is acclaimed for the diversity of its music programme and is filling a niche on the festival scene. Out here on the edge of the country, musicians and audiences are re-connecting and experiencing the unbroken but ever-changing nature of our rich and nourishing music.

Doolin Motorcycle Fest is an annual Charity Fundraiser in aid of the Marie Mc Donagh Clancy Foundation, raising awareness of Ovarian Cancer. The festival will feature Rock-n-Roll, Custom Bike Shows, Ride-outs along the Wild Atlantic Way – a jam-packed, jaw-dropping weekend.
